11:00AM Archery and Atl-Atl Demonstration
El Paso Museum of Archaeology’s archery program is a free, hands on Museum event held with the assistance of volunteers from the Citadel of the Southern Pass, the local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Trained and authorized safety Marshalls are present, so archers of all abilities are welcome to try their hand at shooting with the Museum’s bows. Archers are also welcome to bring their own recurve or long bows (no compound bows are allowed on the range). Museum staff is on hand to teach visitors to use the atl-atl on an adjacent atl-atl range.
